Love Finance is both a lender and a broker. What if both use cases were served by the same tool? What if external lenders also got access to it? What if our customers did as well? I was tasked to make a North Star prototype that does just this.

This project was about unifying our current tools. Our Underwriter Portal, Customer Portal and most of our Hubspot workflows. I was tasked to build a tool which every sales representative in and out of the business uses to manage Love Finance's leads.

WHY?
Account managers are making 4-6 proposals per lead, taking up to 20 minutes each.

With 80 AMs in the business, proposing 5-8 leads a day, the Portal is an obvious tool to focus our Platform Squad's efforts.

The dream is that no sales representative needs to open HubSpot.

HubSpot is a CRM, we can talk about if it's good or not, but it's definitely a CRM, not a Project Management Platform.

I've come up with a solution where the Account Managers do not have to switch tabs (and context) to access all the information they need to make a proposal.
This is not a greenfield project. We have very similar systems in place for our Underwriters and when your users are only one floor away from you, you can bet on very up-to-date and direct feedback!
